A Stitch in Time

Indeed, procrastination is the thief of time, and in this specific case could be end of the line

The thread that stretches back so far, a story so entwined

Never would a stitch in time have saved such sad decline

It’s hard to hold in heart and mind just what is on the line

It’s hard to contemplate the tragic loss of the sublime

Dinosaur in room so long, but hard now to deny, but dinosaurs will dig in and they certainly will try, claim it’s now too late to worry so to carry on is fine, a question of how bad it has to get and by what time

May we sew what we reap

(A stitch in time) so many stitches needed, so many questions pleaded, clear warnings went unheeded

There is a tear in the fabric of life

A stitch in time saves nine

Too far to darn a gash when the sides are too detached, fraying strands of policy, constantly must patch, what goes so badly wrong with a departure from what’s natch

(A stitch in time) when everything is sewn up,

(A stitch in time) everyone gets stitched up

(A stitch in time) and all the might-have-beens

(A stitch in time) like Shuman’s desert dream

(A stitch in time) a stitch dropped there indeed

This is a desperate race.  It’s obvious as something can be that a transition to renewable energy has to happen, with immediacy.  And it’s very clear that the quicker the world can get to a situation where it stops getting worse, that will save a lot of grief later, and a lot of money, since this is what talks.  A stitch in time saves nine, or much, much more.
