Progress and Poverty

Great Cities rise, and shiny buildings climb

The wealth of nations swells, vast riches pile

Yet the richer it gets, It’s like comes a great wedge

Those above pushed ever higher, those below pushed right down,

It’s …

progress and poverty,

Where you find great riches you always find its grim twin

Progress and poverty

how did this begin?

Towers soar but in the shadows they cast

more the masses huddle gazing up at the stars

Down thousands of years the cry rings loud, how do we justly live?

Well, that’s just the way it is, you hear many say, and that’s the lie that hides, to this day, a profound and tragic mistake at play, that we’re bound to live this wasteful way of

progress and poverty

One makes the other, it was hard to see why this should always be

progress and poverty

As if it was meant to be, but it’s a travesty

And so as all pay more to rent the stolen common pool

and no rents collected on the world that can only be for all

And many people scratch their heads as to why it all gets worse

So it’s grand that it’s been beautifully explained chapter and verse

So let the light in …

Read all about it in …

Progress and Poverty, it is everybody’s promised land, you’ve got to understand

Progress and Poverty, is the unanswerable plan,

It’s irrefrag –  able
